Battalion Organization


  1. Instructors. The Senior Army Instructor (SAI) and the Army Instructor (AI) are the primary TAC Officers (Trainer/Advisor/Counselor) for JROTC but they require help from the Corps of Cadets chain of command, officers and senior cadets.
  2. General responsibilities of cadets. All cadet officers and non-commissioned officers are responsible to each other and the Instructor team for the following:
    • Set the example for all, by maintaining high standards of integrity, professional knowledge, conduct and courtesy as well as good, personal appearance. Teach and mentor good character development.
    • Make on the spot corrections of violations of the Corps of Cadets SOP
    • Take the initiative to ensure that things are done right and in a timely manner.

    • Plan ahead, prepare and conduct the training of cadets with enthusiasm and concern.
    • All LET 4?s are required to give training classes. Make the training interesting and productive.
    • Keep cadets informedof what?s going on and why.
    • Delegate duties and functionsto subordinate cadets. Insure that every assigned task in understood, supervised and accomplished. Openly praise cadets who have done a good job. Privately critique those cadets whose performance falls short of expectations.
    • Promote and enthusiastically participate in school and community activities.
    • Cooperate with each other help each other and the Corps of Cadets excel.
